Drama and Performance Art
Drama has proven to be an extremely popular endeavour at Fortune Works. So much so that we have not one but two drama groups at present!
Thursday is our day for drama, with our two different groups running consecutively, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. This helps broaden access to this activity for everyone who wants to be involved.
Our drama groups are facilitated by experienced drama producers. This provides professional guidance and supports the service to organise annual performances. We host our performances in local venues and encourage the local community to come along to these events. This develops our links with the local community, and also gives those who take part a real sense of confidence in their abilities.
Staff and volunteers are also involved in supporting the group and organising performances. Our next show will take place on 11th April 2019 at the Skyform Halls in Drumchapel, the local sports centre, and will be a performance of Sleeping Beauty.
