Get Your Carers' Privilege Card

Glasgow has introduced a new Carers’ Privilege Card which will give registered carers up to 30% off standard rates from organisations such as Glasgow Life, Encore Cafes and City Parking as well as the Council's own Land and Environmental Services. The scheme is part of an ongoing effort to provide greater support for carers that will also include a carer's training programme that will boost their skills when looking after their friend or relative. It is also hoped the Carer's Privilege Card will encourage unregistered carers to make contact with the council for the first time.
Carers registered through Glasgow's six carers’ centres can expect to receive the card directly through the post. If you register with one of the Centres, remember to ask for your card.  Holding the card will grant carers access to:

• reductions on Gym and Fitness memberships at Glasgow Club centres as well as discounts on other Glasgow Life services;
• a 20% reduction at Cordia's Encore cafes at prestigious venues such as Kelvingrove Museum, the Mitchell Library, Emirates Arena and Riverside Museum;
• a 20% reduction on charges at City Parking's multi-storey car parks;
• a 10% reduction from Glasgow Flowers.

If you aren't currently registered with a Carers' Centre, you can get the card by filling in a Carers Self Assessment form and returning this - these can be obtained by e-mailing info@glasgowcarersinformation.org.uk
An information leaflet is available here, which gives all the details.  You should also be able to get a Card through your local Carers' Centre.
