Theresa Campbell - Head of Supported Living, Unit Manager Esmond Street

I started work with ENABLE Glasgow as Manager at Alder Road in 2004, and four years later I gained promotion to Supported Living Manager, overseeing Alder Road, Balshagray House and ENABLE Glasgow's  Housing Support Service.  I also co-ordinated the move from Alder Road to our new Esmond Street service.

During my time with the organisation I have gained qualifications in SVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care and The Registered Manager Award.

I feel blessed  working with a fantastic team of staff and service users.

After completing my honours in sociology at university I started working in what I thought would be a temporary position that would give me a bit of experience until I decided what I really wanted to do.  In this role I gave support to  individuals moving from long stay institutions into the local community.  Fifteen years later and I am still working with people with learning disabilities and still getting as much enjoyment and job satisfaction from working with individuals and helping them achieve the life they want. Continually developing my skills I have recently achieved Care Services Leadership and Mangement qualification.  I am very excited about the future of the supported living services and I am equally excited that I get to be a part of that.
