Celebrating Our Connection with Nuremberg
For many years Enable Glasgow has had a connection with our sister organisation in Nuremburg, Noris Inklusion. We held mutual exchange visits before the Covid pandemic, and we are pleaed to say that our German firends will be visiting Glagsow from 20th – 27th of April 2025. This is part of the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the twin city arrangement between Glasgow and Nuremburg.
The week will include joint working with service users from Fortune Works, visits to some of our clubs and the Spring Dance, visits to our supported living units, and general sightseeing in and around Glasgow. Representatives from Enable Glasgow and Noris Inklusion will attend a Civic Reception in the City Chambers, and will also visit the German Consulate in Edinburgh. On Saturday 26th April, there will be a celebration ceilidh held in the Trades Hall in Glassford Street. This will be open to any Enable Glasgow member, but numbers are strictly limited to 100 people. The event is free, but you need to have a ticket in order to come along.
We will be making a return visit to Nuremburg at the end of September, and detailed plans for this will be drawn up over the summer.
